Project Description:
THE SCOPE OF WORK AT POND ROAD MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO NEW TOILET ROOMS WITHIN EXISTING SPACES OF THE BUILDING. THE FIRST IS TO RENOVATE A PORTION OF AN EXISTING SCIENCE ROOM TO ADD A BARRIER FREE TOILET ROOM TO COMPLETE ITS CONVERSION TO A PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM. THE SECOND IS TO RENOVATE A PORTION OF A SMALL OFFICE SUITE TO ADD A BARRIER FREE TOILET ROOM TO COMPLETE ITS CONVERSION TO A NURSE'S SUITE. EACH NEW TOILET ROOM WILL INCLUDE NEW STEEL STUD AND GYPSUM BOARD WALLS AS NEEDED, COMBINED WITH SOME EXISTING WALLS, TO CREATE THE NEW SPACES, AS WELL AS AGE APPROPRIATE AND BARRIER FREE PLUMBING FIXTURES INCLUDING REQUIRED GRAB BARS, TILE FLOORS AND WAINSCOTS WITH PAINTED WALLS ABOVE, SUSPENDING MOISTURE RESISTANT CEILING SYSTEMS WITH LED LIGHTING, MODIFICATIONS FOR NEW CONNECTIONS TO THE EXISTING BUILDING'S FIRE ALARM SYSTEM, A NEW WOOD DOOR WITH METAL FRAME FOR EACH ROOM, AND ACCESSORIES SUCH AS MIRRORS AND CHANGING STATIONS. THE SCOPE OF WORK AT SHARON ELEMENTARY IS MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING TOILET ROOMS TO MODIFY EXISTING LAVATORIES AND WATER CLOSETS TO PRE-KINDERGARTEN HEIGHT.
