FVHD Announces the Retirement of Principal George R. Duthie

After more than three decades of dedicated service to the architectural and planning profession, George R. Duthie, AIA, PP, is retiring from his role as Principal and Vice-President at FVHD. George’s career has been defined by his unwavering commitment to excellence in public school design and public sector projects across New Jersey. His expertise in architecture and professional planning has shaped countless educational environments, leaving a lasting impact on communities throughout the state.
 
George has led numerous high-profile and award-winning projects, including major additions and renovations for the Hopewell Valley Regional School District, West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District, Ewing Township Schools, Clearview Regional School District and many others. He was the leader of the FVHD team for the successful referendum projects for Princeton Schools, the recently completed Voorhees Board of Education Early Childhood Development Center and the proposed new additions for the Lawrence Middle School in Lawrenceville, NJ. His leadership extended beyond design where he championed collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and solutions that enhanced both functionality and community access. With credentials as a Registered Architect and Licensed Professional Planner, George brought a valued perspective to every project, ensuring thoughtful site development, sustainability and long-term impact.
 
As George embarks on this new chapter, we celebrate his remarkable contributions and the legacy he leaves behind here at FVHD. His vision and dedication have set a high standard for our firm and the industry.
